Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create high quality Environment Art for game levels that fits the style and performance requirements for each unique project.
  • Work with Designers, Concept Artists, and other Environment Artists to create game environments from early block-out phase to final game art.

  • Contribute to establishing the overall look and quality bar for art production assets.

Seeking an accomplished Gameplay Programmer to work with a team of experienced engineers on an unannounced game using our proprietary engine and tools. Candidate would be expected to work in several areas of game development, however would be primarily tasked with gameplay related functionality.

Seeking a highly motivated and talented UI Artist capable of designing and implementing user interfaces for a variety of game projects. The ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge of game art creation software with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to development and is interested in doing what it takes to make the best games possible.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Concept, create, and implement amazing UI systems for a variety of game projects while working within the limitations of a game pipeline.
  • Work closely with Game and Project Directors to establish and achieve desired visual and functional goals of the game UI.
  • Create wireframe and prototype examples of user interface navigation and functionality.
  • Identify and communicate technical issues and concerns related to UI art functionality and performance.
  • Work with programmers to successfully execute user interface ideas from concept to completion.
  • Assist with creation of visual FX, advanced materials, and player feedback systems.

Skillset & Requirements

  • 6+ years of direct studio game industry experience as a UI Artist with published console or PC game titles.
  • Strong visual and graphic design skills (Iconography, Typography, Layout).
  • Solid understanding of current and next-gen art techniques and modern art pipelines in game development.
  • Expert experience with current generation game engines like Unreal, Radiant or Unity..
  • Ability to adapt to and execute unique game styles for each project.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle large tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, a team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
  • Familiarity with Visual FX creation and advanced material creation.
  • Proactive about making things happen, always seeking a better solution, and a drive to continue expanding knowledge as a UI artist.
  • Desire and ability to put in the time and effort necessary to make a game great.

Pluses

  • Proven track record of multiple high-quality shipped game titles as a UI Artist.
  • Experience designing UI for multiple platforms.
  • Experience with 3D art programs like Maya, 3ds Max, and Adobe Substance.

This position is located in Austin, Texas.  Relocation assistance is available.
