The day has finally come, the launch of Xbox One and our wildest game yet, LocoCycle!

We hope you jump in and take LocoCycle for a ride.  We had a lot of fun making it, and we want you to have a lot of fun playing it.  If you feel like getting a little silly, and want to see James Gunn order a fleet of jets with Powerpuff Girl decals, well then LocoCycle is your brand of silly.

LocoCycle is available now on the Xbox One marketplace, and will be coming to Xbox 360 in 2014.

LocoCycle Live Action!

Hey guys!  Today we’re unveiling a new aspect of LocoCycle that we’ve purposefully been silent about for what feels like forever now, even though we couldn’t wait to show you…

LocoCycle makes use of extensive live action sequences to tell our story about I.R.I.S. and Pablo escaping the clutches of Big Arms.

This is a pretty big deal because we got some top shelf talent to help us with this.  You already know that Legacy Effects helped us build real life working motorcycles, and that Lisa Foiles and Robert Patrick (Terminator 2) voice the motorcycles, as well as Freddy Rodriguez (Planet Terror) performing the voice of Pablo.

But what you don’t know is that Freddy does a ton of on-screen acting for the game, alongside James Gunn (director of Marvel’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy), Tom Savini (From Dusk Till Dawn), and many others.

Filming was a lot of fun (don’t worry, we recorded lots of behind the scenes stuff!) and the actors really brought our characters to life on screen and in your controllers.  Because of them we think LocoCycle is the funniest game we’ve ever made and way different from anything you’ve ever played.

You’ll be able to see it for yourself very shortly.  LocoCycle launches alongside Xbox One on Nov 22nd.  We can’t wait!

Best,

-Mike

LocoCycle will be an Xbox One Launch Title!!

The Xbox One has finally been announced, with more and more titles being added to the roster every day.  Now you can throw a Twisted Pixel title in there too because LocoCycle is coming to the Xbox One.  That’s right, son, we’re making a launch title!  As soon as you get an Xbox One into your hot little hands you’ll be able to download our next epic adventure.

We’ve always wanted to make a launch title for a new system but haven’t had the chance until now.  It’s a pretty cool feeling to know that there will be kids who open up their Xbox One and lose their minds with excitement then get blown away by the first few games they load up, including LocoCycle.  We can’t wait!

We’re still making an Xbox 360 version too, so don’t fret if you’re not an early adopter like we are, you’ll still be able to experience the loco.  However, the Xbox One version will definitely take advantage of the big jump in horsepower by running in full 1080p with other additional graphical improvements.

If you’re coming to E3 be sure to stop by the Microsoft booth to play the Xbox One version of LocoCycle with us!  It’s still a work-in-progress, but we’re excited to show you the game!

WOOOO!!

Meet Pablo!

Last week Geoff Keighley visited our shop to chat with studio co-founders Josh Bear and Michael Wilford about LocoCycle.  Spike TV aired the piece last night but it can also be seen here.  In it Mike and Josh showed off some gameplay footage from a never before seen level as well as a brand new trailer that announces that the very talented Freddy Rodriguez is the voice of everyone’s favorite mechanic being dragged by a sentient motorcycle.  Rodriguez is probably best known for Six Feet Under and, one of my favorites of his, the Planet Terror segment of Grindhouse.

We couldn’t be happier to work with such an amazing actor as Rodriguez.  He was a great sport and created many unscripted hilarious moments throughout his sessions.  Check out the new Pablo “behind the scenes” trailer below, and if you’re heading to PAX East 2013, be sure to swing by booth #612 for some more juicy details on LocoCycle!

Been going through some LocoCycle withdrawal?  Well, we here at Twisted Pixel have been hard at work making this game as awesome as we possibly can.  To satiate your craving, Geoff Keighley and the crew from Game Trailers TV will be visiting our studio this week to check out some really cool new stuff from LocoCycle.

Geoff sits down with studio founders Josh Bear and Michael Wilford as they discuss some of the kick-ass things to come from the 2013 release.  Be sure to tune in to GTTV on Spike, March 14th at 10:00pm PST (March 15th 1:00am EST) to see some new gameplay and a special new exclusive character reveal trailer!

As a side note, we will also be showing some new gameplay at PAX East, so if you’re attending the show be sure to stop by booth #612 and check it out.  Several chances to win prizes there as well!
